Judging

How we test, score, and pick.

Here's how we decide what's worth your money: all evaluations are scored on fixed rubrics and benchmarks related to the specific designed use case of the tool or product. Our research team builds each set of tests independently and then cross-verifies each experimental procedure with the rest of the team to create objective, reliable evaluations for reporting.

Editors' Choice is not a participation prize. It rides only on a product that leads its category and would survive being recommended to a friend. Editor's Choice does not appear in every ranking, and is reserved only for specially recognized products that we believe deserve the recognition.

Independence

Nobody pays to be here. We don't run sponsorships, we don't sell placement, and there's no back door where a company buys a higher spot or a better score.
